Challenge

To recreate Diesel Island: Land of the Stupid & Home of the Brave campaign creative in an interactive and memorable social event.

Idea

We brought the Diesel Island campaign to life with an outrageous and thought provoking event at Sun Studios in Sydney on Wednesday August 31, 2012.  We appointed and managed the highly regarded events team at A-Live to help bring the campaign to life and deliver a seamless production.

We also negotiated and secured daughter of Rolling Stone Keith Richards and her DJ boyfriend Nick Cohen as special international guests of the event. The couple presented many strong PR opportunities pre event and during including national breakfast TV interviews and strong page positioning in metro Sydney papers and national magazines including Grazia and Cosmopolitan.  

Our strong relationships with key partners played a role in the events’ success with well known sponsors jumping on board including Recorderlig, Vodka 665, Fiat and Pioneer.

Over 300 of Sydney’s hottest celebrities, socials, media and industry influential’s were left wanting more after a fun filled evening of Diesel Island frivolity including everything from island cocktails, live “Diesel Island Pioneers” and even Fergus the pink goat.

Result

We achieved $80,000 in a wide range of media including Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Herald Sun, Cosmopolitan, Grazia, GQ, Vogue, Men’s Style and key blogs.
