On Tuesday 14th August we assisted David Jones in launching its new Spring Summer fashion season in a high wattage display of spectacular trends from Australia’s leading designers.
David Jones transformed level Seven of its Sydney Flagship store into a kaleidoscope of colour, using a vast array of lights to display more than 140 outfits from Australia’s most renown designers. Make up Maestro Napoleon Perdis returned from LA exclusively for the David Jones show delivering a fun and fresh look.
David Jones Ambassador Miranda Kerr led the pack on a raised perspex runway wowing guests on multiple occasions including in a red Alex Perry gown, white Carla Zampatti Swimsuit and custom-made Romance Was Born outfit, among other designs.
Joining the supermodel was fellow David Jones Ambassador Samantha Harris alongside the store’s newly appointed Menswear Ambassador Jason Dundas. Walking with the ambassadors were exclusive talent including Melbourne’s own Montana Cox , Jessica Gomes, Alexandra Agoston, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Julia Nobis, Louise Van Der Vorst, Rose Smith, Rachel Rutt and Nicole Pollard.
Approximately 300 VIP’s, celebrities, designers, media and Australian identities attended the event including David Jones ambassadors’ Megan Gale, Gai Waterhouse and Emma Freedman plus Kelly Rowland, Megan Washington, Lara Bingle, Jodi Gordan, Rachel Finch, Nathan Joliffe, Kerrie-Anne Kennerly, The Age’s Fashion Editor Janice Breen-Burns and the Executive Fashion Editor of the Sunday Herald Sun and Herald Sun, Kim Wilson.
