In 2016 Sensis, Australia’s leading digital marketing services company, signed a two-year deal with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC), becoming the first official marketing services partner of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The highly anticipated one-of-a-kind marquee hosted a dynamic guest list of high profile local and international VIP guests and media in the exclusive ‘millionaires’ row in the prestigious Birdcage. With a customised theme for each of the four race days, the tech savvy Sensis marquee was a vibrant hub of activity and frivolity, providing guests with high impact entertainment experiences which ensured a unique, interactive and fabulous day trackside.
AMPR worked closely with Sensis and The Valentina Group to deliver and communicate digitally led and innovative activations to both the Birdcage and on course at Flemington via the app SKIP that were enjoyed by both guests and racegoers. AMPR managed the publicity campaign in the lead up and throughout the 2016 Melbourne Cup Carnival, including national coverage, via print online and broadcast opportunities with Sensis CEO John Allan, Skip General Manager Bill Bizos, Sensis Social Ambassador Samanatha Jade and high profile special guests including Scott Eastwood, Barbara Tucker and DJ Havana Brown.
