Zara opened the doors to new stores at The Canberra Centre and Highpoint Shopping Centre in Melbourne last month as the Spanish retailer continues to expand across the country after arriving on Australian shores in 2011.
The highly anticipated store located at The Canberra Centre is the first for the ACT and spans over 1500sqm, including 21 fitting rooms, with the latest collections for women, men and kids designed for the Australian market.
Melbourne customers welcomed a fourth store this time in city’s West as part of the redeveloped wing at Highpoint Shopping Centre. With two entrances connecting the store to both wings of the centre it offers 1500sqm of retail space.
Both new stores showcase a brand new store image that was launched in the new Fifth Avenue store in New York and more recently in Australia at both Doncaster Shopping Centre and Bondi Junction.
A unique vertical integration system that communicates customer feedback and requests direct to the 200 strong design team in Spain enables the brand to be flexible and fast in adapting to the needs of the local market here in Australia and across the globe with updated merchandise and new garments arriving in store twice weekly. Zara also pays special attention to the design of its stores, shop windows and décor, and sites them in the best locations in major shopping areas.
Zara also has stores at Pitt St Mall – Westfield Sydney, Westfield Bondi Junction, Bourke St Melbourne, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Westfield Doncaster and Burnside Village in Adelaide. Internationally, Zara is present in 86 other countries with over 1,700 stores.
Zara is part of the Inditex Group, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers. With close to 6,000 stores in 87 markets, it owns 7 other brands which are Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Uterque.
