Melbourne turned on its finest winter weather last Thursday evening, but the rain and freezing conditions certainly didn’t deter over 100 guests from attending the relaunch of iconic Italian eatery, Sarti, an intimate sit down dinner hosted by co-owner Joe Mammone and his talented team.
In celebration of the new look Sarti and recently appointed head chef Paolo Masciopinto, guests were welcomed in from the cold to relax with a glass of prosecco and taste the best of the new menu. Entertained by a talented four piece playing tunes inspired by 1950’s New York jazz, Melbourne’s social set enjoyed all that the iconic bistro-style eatery had to offer.
Among the guests were TV favourites Gyton Grantly, Glen Moriaty and Tom Wren, Nadia Coppolino, Scherri-Lee Biggs, Joey Dee, Tim Blackwell, Jono Deague, Christo Van Egmond and Ant McIntosh.
Just when we thought Sarti had pulled out all the stops, guest and friend of Joe and Michael, Kate Ceberano joined the band with a special tribute to the boys and their much loved restaurant.
