In 2020 we saw the whipped coffee craze and Gigi Hadid’s vodka pasta recipe take over our Tiktok feeds, turning the app into a virtual cookbook inspiring us to get off the couch and into the kitchen.
Keep reading to discover the top five Tiktok meals that converted us all into chefs this year.
At number five we have nature’s cereal. This food trend blew up when pop star Lizzo shared it with her millions of followers. Simply fill a bowl with your choice of berries, coconut water and ice cubes.

Coming in at fourth place we have the revolution of baked oats. As the name suggests, the craze encouraged everyone to spice up their usual morning oats by baking them with various ingredients. Dessert for breakfast? You don’t have to tell me twice!

At number three, with over 80 million views, is Simple Food’s wrap hack. Basically, slice your wrap halfway, pile your wrap ingredients into each quarter, fold the wrap into a triangle and toast. For some reason this hack makes a wrap taste so much better…

Salmon Rice Bowl
Coming as no surprise, second place goes to the Emily Mariko’s salmon bowl that has taken foodtok by storm. All you need to do is heat up some cooked salmon and rice under a piece of greaseproof paper, adding an ice cube to steam the rice – topped off with soy sauce, siracha and kewpie mayo. It tastes better than it looks, trust me!
Finally, saving the best for last! In first place we have the most viral food craze with over 940 million views – feta pasta. The recipe involves baking a block of feta, cherry tomatoes, herbs, and spices in the oven. Then mixing it all together with some penne pasta. Delicious.
