SussanAW18Launch

On Wednesday, 15th March, AMPR worked alongside leading Australian women’s retailer Sussan, to launch their Autumn Winter 2018 Collection at Fitzroy’s new Bentwood Café.

Hosted by Gorgi Coghlan, the event showcased the stylish new collection to around 40 industry guests including fashion bloggers Tash Sefton and Jess Alizzi and stylists Natalie Crighton and Philip Boon.

Joining Gorgi for a panel discussion on the new collection and the season’s latest trends were Sussan’s head buyer Anna La Pira, and celebrity stylist, Suzy Eskander.

Folklore florals, heritage checks, patch work prints and playful materials with texture tactile along with a fresh update of neutral tones, shades of grey and rich hues of berries and green were heavily featured on the day, being key details of the March and April collections.

In addition to the statement colours and prints, the new collection launch saw knitwear take centre stage, through cable knits, florals, stripes, check, herringbone and lofty yarns, while ultimate cover ups, such as the “it” faux shearling jacket, faux fur and tweed coat, were must haves at the event.

To really showcase the versatility of the collection, Suzy styled three different looks on the day, incorporating statement pieces such as the Camel Trench, key seasonal colours such as bold red and deep plum, and the new fashion accessories from the brand.
