Produced by Polo Enterprises Australia, the Paspaley Polo in the City showcased Australia’s leading polo stars together with international talent at a series of fun and relaxed social events aimed at promoting the sport here in Australia. Sold out for the first time in Melbourne, it was a stylish crowd that turned up to Albert Park on the first day of Summer for the Victorian leg of the Polo in the City series.
Guests watched on as Australian polo stars Ruki Baillieu, Rob Archibald and Glen Gilmore battled for bragging rights on the field. Off the field it was the exclusive guests of Paspaley, Land Rover and Woodford Reserve marquees that had everyone talking. Megan Gale, Jennifer Hawkins, Chris and Rebecca Judd as well as all-round horse lover Francesa Cumani were among the notable attendees on the day.
In Perth it was a similar story as a record crowd watched two extraordinary games of polo at Langely Park on December 8th.
Polo is becoming one of the world’s fastest growing spectator sports and this year the highly anticipated polo series also travelled to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
AMPR would like to congratulate Janek Gazecki, Ruki Baillieu and their teams for what was one truly extraordinary series – bring on 2013!
