Australian retailer Forever New today announces the first ever recipient of its RMIT University scholarship program, awarding the coveted prize to final year fashion student Anna Pipkorn.

The Forever New Scholarship awards Anna $20,000 towards tuition fees and design collection expenses, and an invitation to travel to Paris as part of a 12-month contract in the design team at Forever New.

Anna will also be invited to design a capsule collection in collaboration with Forever New during 2014.

“The fashion business in Australia is more competitive than ever and we recognise that young aspiring designers in our local community need industry mentoring and more opportunities,” says Forever New founder Amanda Goenka. “RMIT has one of the best fashion design faculties in the world and we are excited to support local talent coming through their innovative program.”

The Forever New Scholarship is the first of its kind and will be awarded annually, offering the most significant contribution to the RMIT fashion faculty to date.
