From Melbourne to Malibu: The 2018 Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Carnival will Turn Racing on its Head

AMPR was delighted to support the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) as it launched the 2018 Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Carnival with an exciting international program in Malibu, California. 

 The activity saw AMPR head to the exclusive beachside location to capture content and host a beautiful VIP event.

 Herald Sun and David Jones ambassador Victoria Lee travelled to California to capture beautiful content on the sands of the idyllic Paradise Cove beach and the iconic Malibu pier. 

 A stunning event, held at Nobu Malibu, became a celebration of racing and all it encompasses for racing VIPs and much-loved Aussies making their mark in LA. The group gathered under the blue skies of Malibu to officially launch MRC’s 2018 ticketing.

The results obtained from the 2018 Malibu launch campaign, along with the positive ‘social echo’ received from verbal feedback, all suggest that the Malibu campaign successfully set yet another local standard for a prosperous 2018 Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Carnival campaign. 

This activity has solidified the Melbourne Racing Club’s ethos of delivering the unexpected, with punters privy to an international campaign that has again, made-good on its promise to truly ‘break with convention’.

On Saturday 9th June, AMPR worked alongside The Collective Establishments and Moët & Chandon to present The Grand Brunch.

The Grand Brunch was held in celebration of Moët & Chandon Grand Day with guests toasting their glasses in celebration of a lavish, opulent and champagne filled brunch which was held at Baroq House in Drewery Lane. 

The event played host to a number of performances by BEAT Entertainment and headline performer, Thandi Phoenix showcasing her new hit; My Way, produced by English superstars Rudimental.

Last month, AMPR hosted SS’18 Fashion and Lifestyle Showings at the stunning La Porte Space in Rosebery, Sydney.

Over 65 media, influencers and stylists attended to preview upcoming collections and products from AMPR’s clients across fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

Guest were treated to sweets from Bourke Street Bakery and The Platter Project whilst guided through the space by AMPR account leads talking through brand details, collection inspirations and potential opportunities.

Rebel Blue launched on Chapel Street, Windsor on Thursday 10th May offering Greek inspired food, with a twist. 

Guests included George Calombaris and his wife Natalie, celebrity hairdresser Joey Scandizzo, Georgia Love and Lee Elliott, DJ Andy Murphy, Klaus Bana and Demi Brereton. 

AMPR developed and managed the guest list for the event and rolled out a media relations strategy that secured coverage across print and online publications such as the Sunday Herald Sun, Urban List, Daily Mail etc. 

Diners were welcomed to dishes bursting with flavour and spirit, accompanied by unique cocktails. Rebel Blue favours fun dining over fine dining and is far from your average Greek Taverna.

DIIDAAW2018LAUNCH

On Thursday 19th April, AMPR worked with luxury Melbourne-based womenswear label DIIDA for the launch of their Autumn Winter 2018 Attitude Collection.

Held at The Atlantic Restaurant at Crown and hosted by celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson, the intimate preview event showcased the sophisticated new collection over lunch to special guests including media, influencers, VIP’s and socialites.

Leading a Q&A discussion, Lana sat down with the brands Creative Director Dimitria Papafotiou to speak about the new collection and DIIDA’s history.    

As discussed by Dimitria herself, the fabrics used throughout all of DIIDA’s collections are imported from Europe and then locally manufactured in Melbourne. DIIDA provides a new range that is versatile, chic, and luxurious, with designs that are made to demand attention.

On Tuesday 13th March, AMPR worked alongside the international fashion giant to launch its online store within Australia and New Zealand.

The strategic campaign, inclusive of a VIP event and national influencer and press kit distribution, supported the roll out of Zara.com.

Held at Sydney’s iconic Bennelong Restaurant, Sydney Opera House, guests were able to browse some of Zara’s latest womenswear, menswear and kidswear collections over champagne and canapes, seeing the night off with a spectacular fireworks display.

Event attendees were offered exclusive access to Zara.com ahead of the official launch, exploring and purchasing from the Australian online site.

Key attendees included major fashion magazine editors, industry stylists, celebrities and influencers.

On Tuesday 27th March, AMPR worked alongside leading women’s fashion label KOOKAI to launch their Autumn-Winter ‘La Parisienne’ collection amidst a French-styled streetscape in the heart of Melbourne.

The face of the runway show, Kelly Gale, lead a Parisian-style posse of models down the runway as snow fell from above the flame trees, street lamps and bench seats lining their path.

The exclusive runway show hosted 250 VIPs, media and influencers including Ellie Gonsalves, Brooke Hogan, Nick & Rozalia Russian, Ruby Brownless, Brooke & Jackson Warne, Klaus Bana, Rebecca Harding, Vydia Rishie, Suze Eskander, Lana Wilkinson and more.
